What kind of sand are you using? (If you’re using sand)

Sorry if you’ve already answered this question, I skipped ahead to your ICP results.
Just the normal Fiji pink from BRS, Carib sea I believe is the brand

Tin is high as well, although it is high in many of the ICP results for reef tanks. The problem with ICP is that it can't tell what form the tin is in, as it's just measuring total Sn.

I may have missed it, have you tried running activated carbon?

Yea I have carbon in the tank, and I'm reading some articles and watching some brs videos and it seems that once your resin is depleted a certain amount of silica can leach out, having well water I assume it's high to begin with so I'm going to start changing out my 3 resin beda sooner than I was, closer to 50% which seems to be safe from what I read/have watched

I know this is an old thread, but did you ever fix your tank?

In a way yes. In another way no. So I:

Completely changed out my rodi system, every filter and resin.

Got new containers for salt and fresh water.

Bought a ton of bright well purit

Lost all my corals except 2

Almost all of my inverts died

With no peppermint shrimp my tank is covered in aiptasia

I was never able to figure out exactly what it could have been, but I did see some threads and videos about how sometimes the resin can leach out silicates when it's close to being depleted. Mine was only about half way and this must have been what's happening. The corals that are left are growing and thriving and everything else is pretty stable.

Well, I hope you figure out what might be going on. I read this thread and really felt for you. It can be a frustrating hobby certainly.
My only thought was, Gonis, Acans, Torches can be tricky actually. The zoas can depend on the tank too. You need just the right flow for each of these and they are not always compatible. Light is also something to consider. I do not run LEDs, so I have no input there.

I hope the full clean out and change of containers helps the situation. It can take time. Good luck!
