Mine are in the living room behind the couch. The TV is on the opposite wall.

WOW! I dont blame you lol
This thread has grown to the point where I'll share my story. I didn't feel comfortable "bragging" and my reef is nothing compared to the amazing tanks we see here so I haven't posted much. Maybe I can inspire others with the living space. This is 11 years in the making. I bought a house that was in need of repair during the US housing crisis/ recession. Turned out to not be the best decision financially lol. The space I have my tank is technically finished attic above my garage. HVAC was terrible and not worthy of more than storage. I initially made it a man-cave including my 70g freshy. We did a major remodel that included removing walls and the only way my wife let me do a built in tank was if it was salt. Here is an other view. Dining room on the right and kitchen on left. I got some likes so maybe a more human post with my dog :)

We can not stop here - I enjoyed this thread to much..... so here is our walkout family basement tank. This room is the go through room to the rest of the house from our garages, utility room and serves also as entertain room. Tank build still a work in progress....

My home is a mess but I’m gimpy today. Ignore the foot of the husband “watching the game” and the kid getting her much unneeded beauty rest.

Two of my tanks are in the living room. From where I sit I have a great view of either. Though I do plan an upgrade on the freshwater setup eventually, I’m very happy with my view of them.

Come on, admit it; those are your toes. :)

I am curious and would like to start a thread about how people live with their tanks in their home. Where the display is located. Near a TV, in your living room, bedroom that kind of thing. How do you relax watching your tank? That kind of thing.

My tanks are in my living room on the opposite side of the room from the TV so I don't get distracted from watching them. I usually spend a good half hour to an hour laying on my couch watching the fish. And if I fall asleep doing this, its the best nap ever. In fact, I never nap in my bed.

Totally understand if you don't want to share pics of the inside of your home but here is mine.

View from my couch. Only have 3 months or so into the hobby so obviously a lot to learn about what to do, and what not to do

I keep my one ounce Pico Nano Mini on my work bench. It needs some maintenance as it has a romaine lettuce outbreak and diatoms which I am hoping the pod eats. I also need to clean the lighted/heated sump and increase Vodka dosing.

Hope there is room left on the work bench for all the needed maintenance....

Both of mine are in the basement. We had a small Biocube in the living room until it crashed, and it is nice not having it there now for space (our house is not that big). Works well since I watch TV down there at night, all my tools and water changing station is down there, and less house damage in the event of a tank failure.
