So I am pretty deep into it already but wanted to start sharing. I upgraded to this EXT 75 from my jbj 28 Aio nano cube.

love the roominess of the ext 75 so far!

Covid def reinvigorated me into the hobby again. This upgrade is basically my dream mixed reef for this location, , and the culmination of all the knowledge I gained from y’all and my small lfs over the last year.

I had the jbj set up for a year. Upgrade is now complete.

I’m a gadget nerd as you will see and all in on hydros…

Specs:
-2 radion g5 15, 1 pro, 1 blue. I am also a habitual experimenter…
- Fiji cube 20 sump, I had this running with the jbj to the side of it
- skimmer, uv
- MP10, gyre 330
-2 returns a varios2 and 4
-10 gal topoff
- modified the shelf to be half the size

Klir sort of dropped right in, I didn’t use any of the spacer rings. Just sits on and barley covers the holes. I thought I am just pushing the 750 gph limit, I may have over thought that…I might experiment with one when reef matures and flow is all dialed in, etc.

Current inhabitants:
Fox face, bristletooth tang, 2 Picasso clowns and their green bubble tip, yellow watchman and a pair of pistols, orchid dottyback, small cuc , various zoas, lps, sps, hardy stuff. A nice little Goni colony and a colorful ricordia.

fox face and Goni are recent additions. Rest came from the jbj. Don’t have any current plans for more fish, maybe something small, active in the water column.

lights still have 20 or so days of acclimate mode. Once they are dialed in and I move stuff around I’ll start trying whatever strikes my eye. Open to suggestions!

I wouldn’t say a lot, I don’t have much to conspire it to either. I will say it is finicky at times likely due to roll install maybe, lack of cleaning it perhaps. What I mean is I have seen water get by the grid so to combat this I have hydros run it for 1 second once a day to keep it or ensure it is taught.

Yes, the 2 Klir drop in. It’s tight. I have been running one now and it seems to be ok. Last night just added a sock for fun, noticing the Klir running a lot, I think bacteria is blooming from NoPox. Tank upgrade is trickier than I thought. Ph and ORP is low. Going to wait a while before adding anything. Want to see the coralline and algae and stuff build back up and grow. Stuff isn’t growing like it was, lps and softies and fish and nem seem ok. The few sps I had don’t look like they will make it. I like hydros a lot. I added the alkatronic and Alk is rock steady 8.8-9.2. Trying not to touch it for 4 weeks.

I finally mapped my par. All info in the pics, XR15G5 with diffusers. Question, how does it look, values look correct, meter working? Want to try sps some point on the left side. Might add a rock somehow toward front and up, cantilevered…
