So all sps are alive after 2 weeks on plugs. Attached them to the rock but not real thrilled about the color of them. Kinda dull. Any thoughts?

Dull color in sps could be due to a few things. What’s the flow like in the tank? Water parameters? What’s your lighting intensity?

They got good flow. And all parameters are perfect. But lighting is the question. I have a kessel 350w tuna blue over it which i know is more then enough. But not sure if i have it tuned right. Here is how its set.

I’m sure those lights are more than enough. Mayb someone with more sps experience can help you out.

FWIW,
I ran the same light on the same setup and was unhappy with the results. Some corals looked good, while others were washed. Given you are using the AF Probiotic system, it will be imperative to keep nutrient levels sufficient for corals, the environment looks very clean, but sterile is something to avoid. As the system is very new, I would HIGHLY suggest use of the AF Life Source. Mix until there are no clumps, you can use your fingers to knead it in a container of tank water, once fully dissolved, dose. Bare bottom or sand, this will supply natural food sources to the corals, this will help to build the bio-diversity in your tank. IMO, I would look at the light source and maybe incorporate 4 t5s, this will spread the light source and provide spectrums that lack within the kessil. Not bashing kessil by any means, they are great lights, but for sps, I truly think they need supplementation. If you were closer, I would sell you my new halide setup, which with that kessil would be amazing! I love the design, and look forward to your progress!!! Cheers

No sure of par ratings, but 4 t5's will help make corals pop. If it were me, and of course this is your tank, but, I would use 2 Coral+, and 2 Blue+. You can tweak the lighting spectrum of the kessil to add a nice blue tone, quite honestly, I would run the kessil mainly blue. Cheers

Think your moving a lil fast i would let the tank grow a little coraline algae I would try that algae barn sump startup with pods and phyto and maybe just a lil piece of trustworthy live rock ... looks awesome and can't wait to see this in 30 days ....
