I'm sick of replacing impellers and pumps on ASM Skimmer. Which replacement pump?

I've had my ASM G2 for 10 years. Once every year or two, I have to replace the impeller on the pump. And I've replaced the entire pump twice, and now it's out again.

What would work as a replacement pump? Original is a Sedra. Sicce? If so, which model?

I have replaced a ton of Sedra pumps so I feel your pain. I would try to use a controllable pump that way you have some room to adjust the flow rate to ensure it is properly balanced for your skimmer. I think a VarioS-2S would work. You will also need to adapt the plumbing.

You can switch to a sicce psk 600 or similarly rated dc skimmer pump. Might need a few pvc parts to do it from memory but its definitely doable

I wondered if the PSK 600 would be the right replacement for a Sedra 3500, or if a 1000 is right.

Psk600 is usually the one they sell with the g2 as an alternative to the sedra pumps. Not sure if the psk1000 is too much or not since it relies on a riser tube for adjustments but maybe you can call allseasmarine directly and inquire

For my records...

I just fired up the PSK 600. It took a couple "relatively" easy plumbing adaptations. Now let's see how long it runs.
