Okay all I need some advice. Lost most of my fish to a velvet outbreak a few weeks ago. I still have 3 Chromis that never got it and are still alive and thriving. They are still in my DT. Will the velvet die off even though I have 3 fish that seem immune to it?

I'm not sure there is a lot of good data about that. Are you sure it was velvet? If it were me - and I was planning to add new fish, I would remove them, treat them and let your tank be fallow for 76 days.
