Like most reefers here, I excel at spending money.

On a more serious note, I excel at growing zoas. They thrive in my tank. I guess it's the dirtier water. haha.

Excels at: remote piloting someone's reef not in my home to attain X goal

Struggles: basic chemistry info, stuff is complex x10. Thankfully exceptional chemistry isn't what governs solid remote reef tank piloting. I find alkalinity and ammonia and pH chemistry to be very hard to absorb, but patterns posted by reefers are not hard to absorb and use in place.

I like starting a new tank but once everything is finish and establish with all the corals in it I get bored again. So I would say planning and building is the fun part for me.

Right now its vermitid snails, really getting ticked. I don't even know how it got started, I actually do, have not gotten a new coral in over 3 years. Been just maintaining my tank, lost interest in new things after my 5 year old red planet mysteriously died.

I feel like I am still learning everyday. Excel is the wrong word. I am proficient in chemistry and general reef keeping.
I struggle with dealing with brown jelly disease and other types of infections that are hard to diagnose and stop before it destroys a lot of corals. I struggle with how expensive things are. I struggle with equipment that seems to fail right after the warrantee expires.

I'm pretty good at programming my Apex to automate things. It is not enough to grow killer SPS and keep my algae at bay though.

I think I excel at balancing the art and science of my mixed reef tank. AND keeping my hands out of the tank.

I struggle with not buying more tanks. I have 6 right now and would have 10 more if I had the room. This hobby is a lot of fun.
