When I upgraded tanks I kept my corals cramped in a ten gallon for almost a month. Just check your parameters, dose or use water changes to keep the parameters stable for your coral. You can do it. If you don’t think the silicone will work, and your only using one gasket per bulkhead, then run out to your LFS or order more bulkheads online with express shipping and use the gaskets on both sides of the glass.
