What's up everyone.

So as most of us know, Marine Depot is having their closeout sale. One item that is on sale is the Aquamaxx TS-1 sulfur denitrator. After looking at the specs for this reactor and comparing it to their calcium reactor, I found that there are only a few minor differences between the two.

1. The bubble counter
2. The extra bubble plate
3. 1/4 inch push-to-connect fitting on the center of the cap

Seeing that the bubble counter can be placed on the CO2 regulator output, this is not really needed. The extra bubble plate is not really an issue and can be left alone. The only real thing needed is an additional 1/4 inch push-to-connect fitting which comes out to a couple dollars.

I just purchased one hoping that itll be that straight forward. If someone else is interested, they still have some available. Just thought I'd put it out there.

Here is a picture comparing the two caps:

Nice purchase!

Love my calcium reactor, don’t miss constantly filling up the 2 part. Did buy an extra Aquamaxx reactor and filled with CARX media to consume excess CO2 from calcium reactor and raise pH.

Good luck with your your new CaRX - nice job on the conversion!

@LuisPerez711 I bought 3 :rolleyes:now I have to figure out what to do with them. Set one up as is with sulfur and I love the build quality and how well it works. Let me know how the conversion goes.

Lol can't skip a deal that good.

My buddy has been using the T2 reactor for years and he likes it a lot. I used a Geo 618 years ago that I really liked.

I have this on standby as my system is fine on 2/3 part for now but I couldn't pass up the deal either haha
