I’m tired of the hitchhikers and want to setup a coral quarantine tank. Anyone have ideas for an inexpensive light and know where I can get one locally or online?

Thanks!

Yeah I'd see if you could score a used prime or kessil a80/160 if you're going to do the full 45/76 day QT.
I was thinking a80 might be enough to keep a coral healthy. I didn’t dive too deeply in coral QT. I wasn’t expecting a need to quarantine for 45 or 76 days. 76 duration seems similar to the DT ick quarantine Im doing so that makes sense to prevent ick.

Thanks for info

+1 used AI prime HD.
Youll love the controllability if you havent used AI before.

You could alternatively search thru the chinese black box threads to pin down the most reliable brand of them and try one. May be cheaper...maybe not.

I've got a kessil A160we over a 10g for my QT.

Light is 6" above the tank, at 6" (mid tank roughly) get 250 par at 35 color 100 intensity. Bottom I get about 150-175. 350 at about the waterline (1" below surface). Should be enough for whatever I need.
