I figured I would do a little build thread of my 50 lagoon. I purchased the 50 lagoon from a local friend, he is a huge fresh water keeper, and just didn't like salt, so I swooped in and bought his 50 lagoon. I have always wanted the 50, I had a 25 lagoon years ago, and just felt the size was just too small for me as I like to have fun fish too.

Equipment -
Tank/Stand - Innovative Marine 50 Lagoon
Lighting - ReefBreeder Photon 24v2 Pro (came with AI32 hated it, I went with 2 x XR15G6 Blue with Reefbrite kits, hated it)
Return Pump - Current (forget the number it came with it)
In tank Flow - MP10, AI Nero 3, RFG's
Heater - 100 watt titanium heater
Heater Controller - Rainbird
Controller - Neptune A3, added PM2 so I could have salinity probe (had this laying around already so didn't want to spend the extra $ on the Pro version
Controller Box - Adaptive Reef Controller Cabinet
Custom Automatic Fleece Roller - Automatic with level sensor, custom built for this size overflow - Running 2 of them and no skimmer
Skimmer - Aquamaxx - I ran this until I got the rollers, then took it offline this weekend. I may get something back there at some point.
Water Chemistry - Trident
Water Chemistry - KHG Guardian
Dosing - Ecotech 4 bay Versa (not dosing yet)
ATO - XPAqua
ATO vessel - 10 gallon acrylic Ruby Trigger Systems
Carbon - Quantum
Hand dosing - ZEOvit CV, sponge power, cynoclean, LPS, xtra, coral snow, microbacter clean, microbacter 7, Quantum bio-enhance
Lid - Ordered the Clearview back in Nov, supposed to ship this month? So I am using the cheap IM lid, it works, but its ugly

Fish -
Gem Tang (baby) - I know tang police he is going into my Trough grow out system this weekend, then will go into the 600 gallon tank I am building this summer
Clowns - 2 Black Storms, 2 Orange Storms
Watchman Goby paired with pistol shrimp (they love each other)
Pseudochromis
Lawnmower Blenny
Midas Blenny
Inverts - 3 mexican turbo, 20 astrea, 5 bumblebee, few trochus, few cerith

This is the day I brought it home... Had to break it down and bring it home, as it had some fish and corals (all survived)

Looks great so far. I have the same tank. I’m interested in hearing more about those custom filter rollers, where did you get them?

Thank you very much! It has been a labor of love. I have to admit, once I added the roller, the stuff floating around in the tank is zero. I was worried about having the rollers smell as it is in my office I work from daily, and there is no smell (thank goodness) or I was going to have to build some type of cover for it, but it just isn't needed. It took me about 10 minutes to build and set in the tank and another 30 seconds to learn the controller, super easy!

I bought it www.coralsbydesign.com, they can make for any size AIO out there, I have seen someone in the WB group post up a few days ago I think it was a WB 20 or WB40.

Thanks Scott, I'm happy to see they are working out for you. I will keep them in mind for a filtration upgrade.

Just ordered the Illumagic X-4 and 2 x 24" Vitamini's. Should be in by the end of the week. Very excited to get these lights on this tank.

Neat little tank and I like the industrial design of having the electronics as a feature!

I used KLIR-4’s in the back of my IM NUVO-120, spliced them into a 24v Neptune port, and just had them run for 30 seconds 2x a week as the optical sensor wouldn’t sit right. I think these auto rollers are great for smaller tanks where filtration can be difficult and I hope to see more options like yours in the future. I really like your custom little guys as they don’t seem to stick out like the giant white towers on the KLIR.
