Hello - need a little help. I just received this and it came with a rubber washer but I can’t seem to figure out where it goes from reading the instructions. Can anyone offer any insight ?

I believe mine came with one— couldn’t figure out it’s use either; just proceeded without it, no problems. Best wishes! PS: I use a small piece of filter floss on top of the sponge piece— toss it away every few days. It’s easier than cleaning the sponge all the time.

Thanks that is exactly what I was thinking about the filter floss. Appreciate the advice.

I can’t recall what I did with mine. I think if the light is in the mount, you can slide that onto the light tube so it’s more secure/stable.

I found this picture looks like it goes on the bottom of the UV bulb on outside of casing.

I'm a little late, but I run one and it does indeed slip on the bottom to keep the bulb from rocking around and coming up out of the top. You can clean the bulb by removing the rubber piece and sliding the tube out through the top.

Keeps the light in place. Goes at the of the housing to snug light bulb.

I'm just wondering if I can use a different filter floss other than the sponge it came with?
