I will be using Sera Siporax bio media and place it in the low flow area at the bottom chamber of the sump.

No way in hell would I use A Sicce pump over the stock pump. That sicce is stupid loud compared to the stock pump.
I have one lying around and they arent very loud . I also use food grade silicone mat on the bottom of pump and along the sides. 358gph, split into vca meaning no ugly pumps inside tank or byying an mp10 . Chances are the stock pump will break because its garbino and i believe its 100 gph less . Might have just had a bad one . As long as it works for you all that matters , wish they would ship mine already!! Lol

i use the mighty jet 538. It’s a beast. It way overkill, But I won’t need a wave maker. I trying the sine wave feature. It’s turned way down. But I have room to grow

stock pump is 130gph

will the 9001 fit in the rear? this might be an option for me if I decide to go with a skimmer.

I just got this delivered. It will totally fit in the 2nd or 3rd chamber, you will just have to run the water level a little high.

I'll let you know when it gets here. Should be here this week or early next week. I choose this skimmer because its a brand i can trust and reviews are good! Its important for me to have a skimmer with an air venturi, I plan on adding a CO2 scrubber .
I'm running the bubble Magnus mini q if you don't like the one you get. It's honestly great for nano tanks. Pulls a ton of skimmate.

If you hear my QT tank you would think otherwise :squinting-face-with-tongue: My son says it sounds like his sound machine. Sicce may last forever but they are very misleading with the title “SICCE Syncra SILENT” yeah right.

I’m loving the sine wave feature. With the 538 running at 1.7 there is zero need for a wave maker. I use the double output nozzle.

What's the purpose of this area I boxed in blue? If stuff gets stuck in there, wouldn't it be near impossible to clean that area? Are you concerned at all about the design of this?

Ahhh gotcha ... still a bit undecided on which light to get .. I'm from Canada.. AI prime here is $300+ here CDN lol

A little nervous buying from off-brand that could die out within a year or light quality is meh
Have you checked out the reef casa lights? If you're not running any sps they sell theirs for a good price.
