A 100 GPD membrane (263ml per minute) with a 300 ml per minute flow restrictor is 263 to 300 or 1 to 1.17 filtered to waste ratio. PSI would be around 85 - 90 PSI with the 100 GPD membrane.

Hi
I just bought a smart Buddie my problem is most of the time it runs around 40 - 45 psi. I very seldom get to 55??
Is the Buddie I bought defective?
I thought it would run 70-90 or higher?
Thanks
Joe

Is the gauge after the smart buddie and before the membrane? If on the supply line side, it will only read the water supply not the boosted pressure from the buddie.

Also what is your total membrane amount? It needs to be 100 GPD or below.

Sounds like there is no pressure against the membrane?

Is there more filtered water than waste water?

What are the TDS reading before the membrane and after?

Send some photos of the system to [email protected] can help tomorrow.

Is the membrane fully seated in the membrane housing? If there is bypass there will be no pressure reading, high filtered water production and poor rejection rates.

Did you send the photos over? If you restricting the water supply to the Smart buddie with a clogged sediment it won’t be able to boost the pressure.

What’s your pressure without the Smart Buddie?

What’s the prefilter cartridges look like?

Membrane fully inserted
Hey Harry - just FYI - when you wrote, "Yea both are new." the team at Aquatic Life understood that you wanted to show them some final disrespect from your issue. They did not interpret your "Yea" as the normal spelling of "Yes" in your language. Did this pump ever work for you? Did you install a pre-filter from your home's water source before the booster pump?
