I found a kessil a360n tuna blue in the e waste and thought it would be fun to pull apart.

Hope someone finds these pictures interesting like I did.

Very cool to see! Were you able to make out what the circled chips are?

There is some definite engineering in there for the boards. Multiple layer boards and some small components. My biggest issue is there seems to be some steps taken to make them hard to work on for sure. Custom connections when a simple 6 pin would do. Stuff like that. When all said and done. 3 boards, two potentiometers, a fan, heatsink, and a lens. Could be very modular and easy to fix. But everything could go that way if people wanted to.

These pictures are giving me anxiety from how often I see these exact things when I constantly have to break one of my A360's open to clean and oil the fan because of how loud it get as opposed to my other lights. haha

At least with the 360 they went with a fan that is easily sources to replace. The 350 used a 48v low cfm fan that is impossible to find. I have heard there reps say the fans need to be cleaned annually.

Still working on replacing the fan in mine, but I'm scared to ruin the rubber screws holding the fan in place. Any tips? Or know where to get replacement ones?

Thanks!

if it's a newer light then the rubber should be tough enough to withstand removal of the fan. Would recommend a set of small fine tip needle nose pliers to pinch and push the rubber through. On a 350 I was given I ended up replacing them with a push rivet. Something like this https://silentpc.com/cgi-bin/e/plastic_rivet.html. If your worried about the seal of this vs the rubber ones a dab of silicone will do the trick. I have had no issues.

If you want a replacement they make rubber hold downs for pc cooling fans that look like they would work. I have not tested this though. I went with the plastic push rivet because they are easy to re use.

When removing the fan I recommend an exacto blade to cut the conformal coating on the connector for removal. Or you can splice the new fan into the old wires. Splicing should be done with solder and heat shrink as anything else will be to bulky to fit into the light.
