I am planning to have some beginner corals in my fish only tank. I am using instant ocean see salt and wanted to check if I can still use the same salt with some kind of additional nutrients that are present in the reef salt until I finish my current stock of salt? Any advice please?

Regardless of the salt you decide on, once the hard corals take off and get big, you'll have to supplement calcium and alkalinity. That is, you're not going to get all the alk and calc your corals will need from the salt alone.

That said, I too am an Instant Ocean user in a mixed reef. I maintain alk and calc by dosing DIY two part daily. So no problem staying with Instant Ocean, if you're happy with it.
