It's tough to pick just one.

My pair of blood shrimp have their cave in a separate shrimp tank and come out just often enough to not get boring. The peppermint shrimp are entertaining to watch ride a cube of frozen food floating around in circles.

In my display I've got a skunk cleaner shrimp with one good eye. He's pretty large hops around like he owns the place without fear. Sometimes he gets a little too all up in the niger triggers gills which is funny to see when the trigger flinches.

My tiny coral banded shrimp learned how to hide better after his arms got torn off the first time. The larger one however was torn to pieces in no time because he was always out in the open like "come at me bro!", and they came at him.

I've had a turbo snail for a year and a half that's grown from the size of a grape to almost tennis ball size. It never ceases to amaze me how something that large can completely vanish during the day.

Yes I know coral is technically an invert but let's leave them out of this discussion!

One of the coolest aspects to this hobby has to be those little critters we call marine inverts! Whether it be a fancy looking shrimp, a colorful starfish inching his way across the glass or an elegant fan worm dancing about in the water column, marine inverts can make for interesting additions to a saltwater reef aquarium. So let's talk about them today!

1. What is your MOST FAVORITE marine invert and why?

2. What invert would you like to add to your tank in the future?

Toss up for me between nassarious snails and my urchin. Love love love how the snails remind me of little narwhals ♡

It is a tie between the nassarius snail and the hermit crab -- they entertain throughout the day, and keep things tidy.

1. Flamboyant cuttlefish ( if they class as an invert) they are absolutely amazing definitely one of a kind for wow factor!

2. Probably a colony of Christmas worms! Something a little different!

I really like how fish has the instincts to know to go to the cleaner shrimps. It amazes me every time.

Cleaner shrimp are always a must for me. They have a lot of color, fun personality, help with fish health, and clean up left over food.
