Hey all,

Im a totally newbie to the hobby so please help.

4 days into my cycle with a 300L Reef tank. My PH has been falling and is now at 7.64. (graph attached)
I turned the skimmer on yesterday after letting the Dr Tims bacteria settle for a few days. Doing a fishes cycle.
Should I be worried about PH at this stage or just wait for things to stabilise?
My tank is in a large well ventilated living room.

If I never had a Seneye I probably wouldn't have even tested PH yet.

Cheers

Its good to get used to your test kits during the cycle, but I wouldn't worry about PH. Until the cycle is done, the only things that matter are ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. Different bacterias are fighting for dominance now so the tank is very unstable during a cycle

Its also good to do research before worrying, for example, did you know that PH changes from daytime to nighttime? so depending what time of day you take the test, you will get different result.
