I have two places where this hairy algae is growing: 1) all over this GSP, and 2) in a small corner of the rock island next to it.

Is this something to do with this particular GSP or GSP in general? Is this a preview of what my whole tank is about to look like?

Should I take it out for a peroxide bath?

I am dosing ~1mL Vibrant per week plus daily Microbacter7 (I am seeding some Matrix for my next tank).

Thanks!

Mine is also slightly covered in the area of new growth.
If the GSP fully opens, then there is nothing to worry about.
I would not recommend doing the peroxide bath.

Don't really have any GHA in my tank currently. Have had some in the past but not in my GSP (or any healthy coral for that matter).

as long as it is still opening up fully it is fine. If it does not open up than you could try to pull of the GHA with your hand (just be careful not to hurt the coral)

Have no problems with gsp in balanced tank. After it opens, everything should be fine.

My GSP colony is about the ONLY thing in my 55 that wasn't covered with GHA. I cleaned most of the GHA off manually but treated the tank with FluxRx to get rid of it fully..
