Was recommended to post this here.

I’ve had a trumpet coral for a few weeks in my tank I can’t not remember if it was like this before? But if you look at the base of the coral it’s all white? And seems like it’s been eaten? Any idea on what’s going on there or am I just being paranoid

appreciate any help, thanks in advance

I would say it is receding as most of the flesh is smooth, I couldn't zoom in very much, any chance of a better pic of that white patch please?

Does that side get more flow?
It is letting go since yesterday, I would try an Iodine dip and check for pests.
What are your water parameters like?
I’m not too sure about flow I have no idea to check how, just behind the power head at the back there’s the return pipe from my filter so not sure if it’s too much flow?

Yes, lps base flesh is very delicate and sand is very abrasive, I would Iodine dip it and make sure that the damaged area is not in the direct flow.
