My tank is 4 weeks old its not going to be dark no?Still looks a little wet. I'd lower it or raise the body up out of the water maybe 1-3". Hths and darkens your skimate.

The skimmer foam head will get heavier and heavier in organics and they fall on each other. Pushing the thicker stuff up. Hths you. All tanks have organics. If you put your hands or arms in the tank congrats you've added phosphates and such. Ppl act like the water is supposed to be or is pristine when in fact it is not.
Did u add bottled bacteria? Bam done. Added
Did u ghost feed? Bam. Done.
Did u cycle the tank? Does it matter? No it does not imo.

This is the status of it now. Filled with brown waterSkimmers are not made to continually skim 24/7.
They vary and work on and off with the organic compounds in your water at the present time. The DOC.
