So I have been seeing lots of banded Trochus babies on my 40 breeders.
Is there such thing as too many?

At least 20 in my tank now. And I also have some blue hermits, 2 turbo, and a conch
I was thinking that the hermit migth just kill the babies..but nope.. they are getting bigger

You have 20 in a 40g?? I have about 40 baby margaritas in my 20g XD
Are yours all babies? Whats the ratio adult:juvenile/baby?
There is a chance your hermits will eat some babies, but thats just a balance of the food chain in your tank.
Personally I wouldnt worry about it. Only problem I might have is with the aesthetics of it.

20 would be fine and a surety you have ability to prevent certain algae build ups.

I bought 6 back when I started the tank. July or August last year. And added the others along the way. But never add anymore. Lately I've even seen them in the sump too

I guess I am just worried that I starved the other CuC that I have.

If only you were close to me, that's most likely what I am going to do. Just give them out to fellow reefers around
