Thanks for quick response. Got it out - small patch on coral. Presume it was eating it? I’ve not seen them before but will keep eye out for others.

Those will eat your leather. I have the same, and it's one of the corals that they will damage. Remove any that you see.

Looks like an asterina starfish but I’m no expert. If so I’d recommend getting that out. Its a pest and they breed/spread like mad.

Do you have starfish in your tank like chocolate chip?
No starfish. I look every night for ‘critters’ but don’t see any - this one showed up ‘out of the blue’. I’ll assume it isn’t the only one so will keep a closer eye out.

Reading about them only 5% apparently attach corals - trust me to get one of the 5%! It’s hidden well from me as I look regularly for signs of critters at the same time as checking the ongoing health of fish and corals. Where do they hide? Where am I likely to find more if I have them? Thanks

I’ve found a total of two attached to my pipe organ coral. However, they were single stars found weeks apart. Now I’ve seen them I’m always on the look out for them.
