Can someone help me identify if this is early itch and if so, how to treat it

This is a fin ray issue as a result of injury or more likely sting or puncture. Maintain water quality and keep an eye on it for improvement. If it gets larger, treat in separate tank with Seachem Neoplex and this is likely non-contageous

The spot on the dorsal fin is too large to be ich, and can be seen by both sides, so that isn’t ich. The smaller spot on the tail could be ich, but I’d just watch it for now - ich spots will come and go every few days and generally increase in numbers. If these two spots are in the same location after three days, it isn’t ich.

Thank you! I’ll keep a close eye on it. Today they have seemed to subside a little.

Sorry, I can’t see the third spot …. The other two still don’t look like ich.

Definitely keep an eye on the spots, sometimes ich can be festering on a fish, and doesn't show up in pictures.
