Only change in weeks is that I increased light intensity by 10% and whitened the spectrum a little. Some frags got brown tips. Is this a symptom of too much light increase too fast? Should I do anything, like cut tips etc. or just watchful waiting? What’s the chance of recovery? Cheers!

I’m no expert, but it looks like the tips died and diatoms grew on it.

What is your phosphates and alkalinity level?

Alk is 8.0 stably and PO4 is 0.08. Yes, I think the flesh on the tips shed and algae grow on it.

A 10% increase in light intensity + increasing white % in one go/ day ? no acclimation over several days or weeks ?

This sticks out to me as the cause, esp if alk never got above the 8.5 mark and NP haven't bottomed.

A 10% increase in overall intensity in one day isn't ideal but people can get away with it, but you not only upped overall intensity you also turned up white percentage.

Yes, in one day ... I really underestimated the effect.
