Parameters are moving in the right direction. Even my calcium is now only two extra drops away from 500ppm (I'm reading this as an improvement). I've stopped dosing calcium to try and bring that down a bit. My Alk is dropping though.

Nitrate seems to have improved a bit... Not with the color chart, that still reads 50, but the color is more clearly 50ppm.

I have 4 weeks of Waste Away then a slow transition to NOPOX.

Will replace my GFO next weekend.

The best signal is that the white fuzz has receded.

Advice from an APEX noob: Use the dang Drawer. Until APEX updates their badly designed user interface it is overly easy to accidently switch a doser switch from AUTO to ON. I did this with my calcium doser yesterday. Luckily I caught it very fast.

Now Alk and Calc dosers switches are hidden in the Fusion Drawer.

I really love Premium Aquatics. They've been an awesome and consistent resource for me this past year.

Now, I've finally switched frozen foods and will now solely use @ReefFrenzy FishFrenzy blend. Mainly because of their addition of California Blackworms. Luckily Premium Aquatics has a fairly decent shipping deal.

I do still love Rods Food. I picked up some Rods Seaweed.

Should have some happy fish.

I will still soak with Selcon before feeding.

Wife and I just witnessed a frenzy in the dark. Cleaner shrimp just hatched out a cloud of babies. Nighttime snack for the mandy and everyone else. Very neat to watch.

I seriously am having issues with Nitrates and Phosphates. Dosing Dr. Tim's WasteAway has seemed to halt and recede the white fuzz bacteria but not eliminate it. Also, no help with nitrates.

Although, I'm still under dosing WasteAway. I'm at 25ml at this point.

....
Also,
I over did the Alk Dosing. Stopping the dosers tonight. But what I don't understand is how has my calcium not dropped.? I thought calcium should drop with the rise in Alkalinity?

Any ideas or advice would be appreciated.

Nice documentation!
I wonder why the NO3 is not coming down... You still think Dr Tims stuff is effective with your system..? How are the macros in the fuge?

I'll take some pics but the cyano and the white fuzz bacteria is definitely receding. So that was the purpose WasteAway. So it's working as intended.

I'm going to do a very large water change. If I do 50% that should theoretically cut phosphates and nitrates by half.

I just purchased an RO booster pump kit to bring my PSI over 40 for my 6 stage. This is my project for tomorrow.

How much do you usually feed per day?

I do one to 3 sheets of Nori with Selcon. Then I do about a square inch of Frozen food --- this last week I switched from Rods to LRS Fish Frenzy.

I also put 4mls of Red Sea aminos/proteins for the Coral.

I'm going to start using Red Sea NoPox next week for nitrate reduction. I'll clean my GFO this weekend as well.

My Macros struggle.

Pump is mounted on a particle board back.

Drilled holes to pass the transformer cord through the cabinet.

Then attached the DI line coming from the last carbon block to the solenoid switch.

All hooked up.

Now let's see the pressure.....

For the algae, have you thought about feeding less? 3 sheets of Nori seems like a lot to me, I am only feeding 1/2 sheet every couple of days on my 80g. Have you ran the booster pump yet? I am interested to see how much the PSI increases.

I coincidentally started doing that yesterday. I do have three tangs and they've all gotten along, but they've been probably over fed and grown fat. I'll have to keep an eye out to see how they do.

They may be buds, but every now and then the yellow and Kole tangs have a tail slapping fest.
