Have you heard of Tank Transfer Method? Is the Mandarin eating frozen food? Mandarins are difficult to qt(main reason I don't have one). Can I set up a 5 gallon bucket as qt just for the mandarin? I don’t need him being a host and continuining the process…what medication do I use for the mandarin?
You’ll need pipettes or other ways to accurately dilute your water sample. Since this test only reads to 0.8, and Coppersafe needs to be tested at 2.5, you’ll need to dilute by five times with distilled water, test that, then multiple the results by five to get the actual reading.Do you have instructions on how?

Can I treat with one of these meds in pic then put in tank after fallow period?Tank transfer works for mandarins, but the big issue is that you need to have a clean, ich free tank to move them into after the transfers are done.
There's only a few "sure ways" to completely eradicate ich: Copper medication, Chloriquine Phosphate, TTM, and hyposalinity. Those bottled medications usually don't work with Saltwater fish. You can learn about all these methods by using the search option in the top right cornerCan I treat with one of these meds in pic then put in tank after fallow period?

I wouldn't use any of those treatments for ich - some are just "snake oil" and others just aren't strong enough to stop an active infection. Remember, there is NO oversight for aquarium medications - companies can sell anything as a "cure". The driving force behind that is that people get stuck not being able to run a proper treatment due to invertebrates in the tank, so these "reef safe" medications have a ready market, despite them not working well.
How about this. This is only for the mandarin. I’ll put him in a 5 gallon bucket with livestock since he can’t be exposed to coppper. @Jay Hemdal @MindlessToxin![]()

ive been reading to raise temps to 82 while going fallow. will this not kill corals? im planning on going fallow for 72 days while fish are in QT with copper. im doing ttm method for mandarin. but will my corals be ok in 82 degree temps while in fallow for those 72 days? also, how gradually should i add the copper?I'm not a fan of this product for marine ich, but it does work well against FW ich.

Raising the temperature will speed up the fallow period, but you’ll need to weigh the risk to the corals. I used to raise temps up to 90 to burn the ich out fast, but this was in empty tanks, no animals.ive been reading to raise temps to 82 while going fallow. will this not kill corals? im planning on going fallow for 72 days while fish are in QT with copper. im doing ttm method for mandarin. but will my corals be ok in 82 degree temps while in fallow for those 72 days? also, how gradually should i add the copper?
