• Hitchhiker RFA - hopefully will live

Cycle is coming along nicely. No detectable ammonia and 20 ppm nitrates. Did a water change and will be adding a fish or two soonish.

Here’s a throwback to my tank 7 years ago. Sold my coral, fish, and shrimp to an LFS when I had to tear it down. Excuse the bleached acro I had no idea what I was doing and still don’t.

The ugly phase is just about over I think. Had a diatom bloom on the sand and GHA all over. I got a cleaner crew from reef cleaners and they sorted it out almost overnight.

New additions are a royal gramma and Darwin ocellaris. I Also picked up a zoa frag as a tester- will wait a few weeks until I dive in completely.

The gha returned. In hindsight the ugly phase may not be over. The corals seem happy enough for now, though.

Added more rock and stuff. Somehow my royal gramma and clown paired up- they stick super close together it’s crazy.

Yes, I used fritz turbo start. My LFS highly recommended it when buying some live rock and the cycle went super quick.

So apparently the clown and gramma have paired up. They’re pretty much inseparable now.

The gha has been going back and forth. I probably jumped the gun a little bit but everything still seems happy.

my clown is definitely confused still but the gramma seems to be taking it in stride.

I made a few additions - more zoas, a hammer, chalice, and acan. Blown out blue lighting and more natural lighting attached.
