Eastern Screech Owl. Used to (rarely) see these as a kid where I grew up. I fondly remember going to camp one year and searching the woods for owl poop - like a big cotton ball filled with little rodent bones.

That a pellet, not poop. Its the non digestible material that is stored in the ventriculus (stomach) and expelled usually once a day. Their poop looks like normal bird poop.
