So, my friend got me thinking about an upgrade saying we should order a couple tanks together. He ended up backing out, I blame him for this upgrade. haha.
Here is an old shot of what it will be replacing.
FTS12-10small.jpg

The new tank will be 48x30x20. Lighting will be 10x54w t5HO. It will be plumbed in with my frag tank

I will be running a MSX-250 skimmer on the system. Sump will be 24x24x16, w/ a separate 18x24x22 fuge.

I just got finished building the stand. Thanks to my friends Bill and Boun. It took over 24hrs to build. lol. I think it was worth it all. Here is what I wanted it to look like.

Here is a couple shots of the stand. In case you guys are wondering the cut out in the door is to flush mount my reefkeeper elite.

The center brace is removable it is just for show. It bears none of the load. The stand is built like a beast out of only plywood. It must weigh at lease 150 pounds. I also know my handles are a bit crooked which is bothering me a bit right now. lol

Here is the tank

I know the overflow box is small but I my return to both my main tank and my frag tank is only going to be 700 gph. It should handle it fine.

Thanks, can't wait to to get it all set up.

I got the sump and fuge in the stand. I plumbed the overflows from the tank. One going into the sump and one into the fuge. Just no pictures :(, I sold my current camera to my friend. I should have my d300 by tomorrow :) (buying from my other friend). For my fuge (40 gallon volume) I am having one of the LFS's order me some ORA seahorses. I plan on running my tank slightly cool.

Thanks Chris. Here is a quick shot of under the tank w/ the new camera.
The plumbing is going to be pretty simple. Left side will be the fuge the right will be the sump.

Alright, updated shot. I painted the back black with some krylon fusion paint.

Nice, what kind of flow are you gonna go with; powerheads or a closed loop.

Gyre style flow. 1 vortech mp40w, 2 koralia 4s, and 1 majijet mod.

Yup, my current tank is only 48x18x18 with the same flow. But I think the powerheads shoudl be enough. If not I have plenty of koralias I could add or I could just put in my other vortech into the tank.

Is that a giant efflo on the upper right side?

Nice looking setup. I have always liked the look of an external overflow
