They are mean. I love them, but they are mean. He’s chill with the clowns, but he constantly picks on the goby.

I sent the text to him last night, around 8:20.
There's not enough territory for both rock dwellers. The dotty wants his food source left alone. Which is why he wont go for the clowns.

SOOOO give the guy time to wake up, have coffee and breakfast to check his messages. If he doesn't get back to you. Email him after noon. And ask if the system is sold

Also, if your parents want a display tank... They need to go half with you. It's not right!

Edit: the large tank was in our living room, Dad wouldn't allow me to be selfish. So, yes he went half with me. I had to set the reef in the living room. He actually bought the lights for the pearl bubble coral we had. Those were easy though.

My last reef. The ribbon eel I had for a couple of years. I lost so many photos due to not backing up.
100_0504.JPG

I did a file recovery to get back what I could.
Most of them couldn't be saved.
The border is from me trying to piece the photos back together, yes that is me holding an injured gold eagle. SOOO sweet. My sister went on a 12 hour journey to get her help. We gave her water, but were advised to not feed her from the NM wildlife. They could not help. They said they would just kill her and good luck! So we got permission to take her and look for help.
eagle001.jpg

This is what I had to work with. Most pictures were missing information. They couldn't be saved.

She had a broken pelvic bone. She couldn't fly. The rescue team in whitesands missile range took her to rehab. So, took 12 hours running from silver city to back home looking for help. All we needed to do, was go home to the gate guards and call animal services.

Will do! I’ll call after lunch, as I think that’s a considerate time.

That’s an awesome story! I bet that was a super cool experience to see a predatory bird that close!!

Lol, that’s a good point. Or I could charge them like $5 every time they wanted to see the tank. ;Happy;Woot

Still no response from the seller of the tank.
Your cinnamon palys and Duncans have grown so much since you started, I’m always super impressed by how well your corals grow for you! Just got a Duncan frag of my own and it’s happy, but nowhere near as happy as yours! How long did it take to start putting out new heads?

Thanks man! (Probably around 2 months?)

Well, I got it On JUL23, and it looked like this:

I guess I started seeing baby heads starting to sprout around AUG7:

And then right after my tank crash, they went CRAZY. This was taken on AUG24:

Man that took a lot of digging through photos! It’s awesome to see that much progress though.

And here are the cinnamon palys when I first got them

They actually looked like cinnamon back then.;Facepalm

Didn’t get to call the seller because I have to come up with an idea on how to “stop the tank from leaking out on the floor” before I call. -_-

Anyway, Kenya tree is peeking up:

Seriously, as long as the washers for the bulkheads are soft and flexible, or havent been removed, leaks arent going to happen from the bulkheads. thats been sealed. if the bulkhead is loosened, yes you'll get issues and need to reseal it.

edit: there is actual lube brs recommends to use when sealing up bulkheads. to make sure it is air tight

What I don’t understand is that he has a freshwater and saltwater tank in his room I don’t see why that isn’t a problem and this tank is

how do you stop any aquarium from leaking? just tell your dad, ok will do! and place some random plexi under the sump
I’ll do that. Just use the idea that he suggested and then make it happen.

Then I can call and see if it’s still available.

I don’t know why this guy is leaving me on hold. I sent him another message around 1:00 this afternoon and it said he has seen it.

Seriously though, the total volume of all the tanks up in my room now is around 65 gallons. AND that’s on the second story, with cheaper tanks that have a better chance of leaking than this one. ;Cyclops

Actually, they hold pretty well. Those plastic rims do nice to keep the seals from busting. Don't let your parents read this message.

BUT if dad has to be right, let him be right. If it gets you the setup.

edit: if not, try to work on getting a nice 60g+ lots more room to work with. Cost a lot more though.

And I was looking for the sealant on brs, maybe I read that bit of info on here. I am trying to find it.

Yes… that would be bad. ;Bucktooth

I’ll just let him “be right” and do what he is “suggesting”. Whatever will get me the setup. (Assuming it’s still available…)

I will probably be able to call him tomorrow afternoon.
