I’m wanting to do some sort of dip to get rid of the algae on some of my frags… I know @Mibu has posted the “recipe” for a peroxide dip before, but I can’t find it.

Suggestions on how to do this safely?
What frags? NO peroxide on fleshy corals.

4 ounces tank water 1 ounce peroxide. Softly scrub.

And by flesh, torches hammers frogs. I only use peroxide if desperate to treat infections on those. Witch hazel is safer.

peroxide is safe for other types of corals. It won't form bubbles under the skin.

Zoas and cloves - would those be ok?

Nice! LFS?
The other local fish store. The one closest to me, is pure garbage for saltwater needs. Extremely over priced on meds, and salt. As well as some other items.

Edit: mostly bought it for the yummies attached. The cbb pretty much cleaned it already.

Nice. I wish my LFS still had their $5 selection. They got rid of it after COVID to make more money. :/

The better LFS here, he gets nice pieces in here and there. He has an 6" elegance for 75 I believe, I could be wrong on the size. The polyp extension was very nice.
Mushroom colonies and ZOA/paly between 50 65. Not frags.

You just can't tell what colors they are. The lights are bad.

Well hopefully when I get more coral I’m able to trade and stuff ! That Kenya tree I got was free ! So that was pretty cool
What did you trade it for?

The coral at my LFS is usually lacking. Ever since COVID, it’s been really tough for them to get stock in. Their fish selection is usually really good, but their coral is lacking.

They have a HUGE elegance and shroom rock that’s always there - been there for over 3 years now.

(don’t get me wrong, they have a nice frag tank, but their pieces are expensive: $250 for a single head black torch? Ehhh no)

What do you mean ‘after Covid’, lol?!?

What did you trade it for?

Torch prices are absurd everywhere. I remember when stores would have a hard time selling them for $25 a head. Yeah, I know, times have changed, but some people/vendors have lost their minds,
