I agree too small if I ever upgrade I’m going to get the biggest size I’m able to afford/maintain. Especially once I move into a permanent home situation.

My system is 112 - 120g volume. Depends where I place my water line. I paid 1600. No thanks. Even the cruppy skimmer I got is really nice!

I don’t really like bows. Hard to take photos and hard to clean. Also, sump area underneath is usually very limited.
Not so much, Depends on how the stand is built. Cleaning the front glass is a pain. That part is true. When was the last time you used a sump?

Yeah I agree they can be a pain in the butt I usually had to stick my had with the magnet scraper and clean manually

Its 73 gallons, for $900. Retails for $2k+ and it comes with all the original equipment. Looks like its plumbed below as well, just so skimmer.

Skimmer will run from 200+ depends what you get. so 1.1k. And, always have a back up return pump NO questions. ALWAYS have a back up.

Edit: it's a nice system. But again, moving that stuff around in a pain.

Might it be a better idea to wait and upgrade when I actually move? Like, instead of buying the new setup here and waiting to set it up until I move, just wait to buy all together and then look around in the state which I move to?

Yup, sounds like you are moving soon enough as it is. Glass is not the best t hing to move.

You know what, you have the upgrade bug bad. I know how it feels.

Also, do check the area you are moving too.
Do you know when you are moving?
