MEH, I’ll take the Frozen Tundras. :p
The thing is, do you know what those purple and yellow gonis would look like under the lights we run? They were taken under 10k lights.
This would look

like this under actinics.

I have to get my par meter out. These lights put my bta in hiding and they were at 50%. Bta sits at the bottom. Now he's in a hole.
Oh dang! I hope you can get your lights dialed in so your BTA stops pouting.

Husband was about to kick my butt. He saw the nem hidding under the rock and said "get your par meter out" yuh... I'll make a par map for all of you in the morning. My current orbit usa leds are 20% of the the noopsyche. The bta was frying under 40% power. I had to reduce the levels to 25-30% for ramp up time. The difference is flipping huge!

Just got out of basketball practice. Had so much school I couldn’t get to the tank.

So many questions are running through my mind about this:

Morning all.

Managed to readjust the light without having to take it completely off, thank goodness.

Im still a little reluctant to remove the black box and start using the K7, because I think it might be too powerful?

Turn it all down to 40% ramp up time.

20-25% rest of the time. 1-10% morning bed time.
Here was last nights emergency. black is dialed in, red is what it was at. orbit marine The bta was under such low par reading, I may need to readjust lights once more.

James, I doubt HIGHLY doubt you need to worry like I do. My orbits are severely lacking. My bta is a lover of low par. And is slightly coming out of hiding atm. He's a weird one.
Red (175) was under 40%
Black (75) is the new adjustment at 30% power.

I am sure my readings are off a bit, I am remapping later this afternoon. I don't want to irritate my bubble anymore.

Also, an old fts with the k7

And jaden has these gorgeous rock flower anemones I want. I also want to buy some stuff at ao.. my life!!!
RFA’s are top on my list. They are just so beautiful!

Turn it all down to 40% ramp up time.
So I need to go into the settings and manually cut all %’s on all 8 channels by 60%?

I black box can put out some serious light (especially considering it sorta bleached all my coral) but the last thing I want to happen is for it to bleach it all again.

Start out at 40% ramp up. Watch how corals respond. Adjust by 10% until polyp extension looks nice. The sps were loving the high ramp. The bta was not. Adjust your light height first. Then work with numbers. The colors the k3's put out are gorgeous. I really think you'll be at 60% ramp up. There's no way your black box is as bad as my orbits.

Forgive me james.

My old Orbit FTS Tons of white light.

This was under 40% evening. K3 Very balanced light.

A lot has changed. But, I think you get what I am trying to say?
it's impossible to judge par/pur with our eyes. We must trust out corals. In this case, my bubble tip.

Duncan not happy this morning. Fell off and was on the sand bed for sometime last night. I’m blaming the dottyback

Digi is doing MUCH better. Some serious polyp extension and I’m seeing a ton more green on the skeleton

(looks like trash right now, but that’s because I had my hand in the tank, lol the green also doesn’t show up because my camera doesn’t capture those colors)

you wont need a lot of red or white.

in a couple more hours, I will have my par mapped out at full ramp up for sps and the current settings. I was testing for hot spots around the bta last night. Surprisingly, there weren't any. He is also below one of the bulbs. I was worried about that. Sand bed par spread seemed to be pretty well distributed.
