My lighting setup:
I'm using two AI Hydra 32HDs for the larger tank lighting. The tanks are Japanese size so I think they are bright enough.
The tank size is 36" wide, 18" deep and 20" high. The water capacity is 48 gallons.

hydra’s setting.

That is an awesome picture. I can only hope my tank looks as good in a year or two...

Thanks for the comment.
Most Japanese style overflow tanks are of this type. To me it was surprising that it's different in the US.
This is called a triple tube overflow system.
Here's a Google search result.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find an explanation in English. I'll explain it in my poor English.

The drainage enters through a cut in the outer pipe and falls through the top of the second pipe.In principle, the outer pipe doesn't have to be there. The reason for this is that the outer pipe prevents clogging and allows the water to drain from the bottom of the tank.
The water returns to the tank through the first inner pipe. This is the most unique point, and this pipe can make one hole in the tank.A special joint called a 'pistol' is needed to insert this innermost pipe into the drainage pipe.

I found an easy to understand images of it and am posting it here.

I wonder if I can grab one off of a proxy or something. The search begins!

Whereas the pipes and the electrical system were hell, this is heaven!Layout!
I was a beginner and didn't know better, so I made the layout out of a dead coral skeleton.I read on the web that live rock is a coral skeleton.
I didn't use live rock because I knew it would contain things I didn't want, such as sharks and bugs.

First of all, I assembled it temporarily outside of the tank.

Once the temporary assembly is decided, it is fixed with cement and glue. The legs of the layout are held in place with pipes and acrylic.(Did they come off afterwards...)

The completed layout was finally placed in the tank, and the placement of each module was decided while looking at the balance. Finally, I added well-washed sand to complete the layout.(Washing the sand was so hard I thought I was going to die.)

I built a reef tank in my loft at home. The preparations started in the summer of 2019 and the seawater was added on January 18, 2020. I'm going to show you the record to date. There is already an aquatic plant tank on the right side.I decided to make a tank full of coral on the left side of this one.

And it was recently filled with coral.

I've done a little searching and I can't find a site where you can buy from abroad.I'm surprised that this system is so commonplace for Japanese people, but not at all in other countries!Very few users in Japan use the overflow box.

I did some research and found a few similar systems overseas using the keyword "triple overflow".But most of them seem to be made in China. Hope you can find them.

The gold torch coral I put in the tank a week ago died.Maybe brown slime?
It started to melt from one polyp and quickly spread to the other polyps. I took it out of the tank because I didn't want the other torch coral to become infected with it. This was my first torch coral death.I'm afraid of brown slime.
And coral, sorry I didn't grow it well.

We have welcomed a barred angelfish (multibarred angelfish).
She doesn't eat food yet.I'm worried because she has lost a little weight.
I asked my 9 year old son to feed her because I am going on a business trip tomorrow, but I am not sure he will be able to do it properly. Please!!Son!!

He will be fine especially if he likes the aquarium as much as you do,, my daughter helps with so much with tank husbandry and feeding time plus is always monitoring the salinity and temp,, she loves all the seahorses

Beautiful systems! Very interested in seeing your planted systems as well if that is allowed here. ;-) (I'm sure your son will do a great job!)
