My coral introduction 02
Acropora SP...probably latistella
71CDA5F7-3599-4133-A135-723064CED9CF.jpeg

I bought this Acropora from a Japanese auction site a month ago.It was sold under the name of SP. so I don't know the exact species, but I think it is probably Acropora latistella.(Please let me know if anyone can identify it.)

It is similar to Tenuis in some respects but the branches are thinner and more delicate compared.
It's only been in place for a month and so far the polyps are blooming very well.I can't take a good picture of the color on my iphone, but the branches are cream yellow and the tips are blue-purple.It's a very pale shade and I probably won't be able to keep the color as it is.I'm looking forward to seeing how the color will change in the future. It looks somewhat blueish, but I think it will probably change to a greener side.

It was a good purchase and in good shape and color. This is my recent favorite Acro.

My Coral introduction 01
Acropora tenuis lime green
DC580FCB-E62F-4413-AB9E-B63CEF049726.jpeg

I bought this Australian lime green tenuis from Coral Monster that is famous shop in japan at the beginning of March. It has grown a lot since I bought it.
It's been in this place in my layout since the beginning of SPS.I think it is the main coral in my layout because of its bright fluorescent color. The green color has been lost by low nutrient salts and now it has become a beautiful yellow color.

I have the impression that it's difficult to keep the bright color of this species, but this type of Aussies Tenuis is easy to keep the color.and This acro doesn't need a lot of so much strong light.(My lime green "millepora" faded quickly turned brown and die)
The polyps at the growth point tips are bright blue and beautiful, but the polyps are not coming out very well. It's growing, but it's light color, and maybe it's being weak .

In my tank tenuis tends to gradually stop blooming polyps.I think there is something wrong, but I don't know what it is. I'm feeding a fair amount of coral food, but the refugium seems to be working too well and the nutrients are quite low. This may be the cause, but I'm not sure.

That is an amazing color!
I'm sure it will be difficult to keep this color.I'm also looking forward to seeing how the color changes.

You have built a beautiful reef, i like your aquascape.
Thanks for sharing.
A question regarding your house: is this a runway for the cat?

That's right. I made a cat runway above the window. My cats often look out of the upper window.

I took some recent photos of the tank.Several corals have been bleached, taken apart and replaced.

We also welcomed a Black Ocelaris for a clownfish that has been without a partner for a long time. But, sure enough, the old clownfish attacked the Black Ocelaris, so I moved it to a cube tank.Is there any way to get them to get along with each other?

This is the story of Black Ocellaris and the clownfish afterwards.

When I put Black Ocellaris in the tank, it got into a big fight with the clownfish. So I isolated them in a 45cm sub-tank for a week, but I recently moved the senior clownfish back to the 90cm main tank.

What was that demon's form now?The black ocellaris, which used to swim in the middle of the ocean alone, is now in the torch coral with my senior clownfish. It's a time-honored method of isolating the firstborn once the mixed swimming doesn't work, but it was very effective.

My lighting setup:
I'm using two AI Hydra 32HDs for the larger tank lighting. The tanks are Japanese size so I think they are bright enough.
The tank size is 36" wide, 18" deep and 20" high. The water capacity is 48 gallons.

My lighting setup:
The lighting settings have been updated. There was no problem with the previous settings, but I wanted to boost the fluorescent protein a bit more, so I decided to increase the brightness a bit. The current settings are as follows.

Congrats on pairing the clownfish and all four tanks are beautiful. I think I see another desk tank on the main floor on your desk corner?

I used to take pride in my nature aquariums before I had children. Can you explain how you maintain fertilizers for the planted tank? How much water come do you change weekly and is that a ADA canister filter?

Awesome, I'm glad you got it to work out. I have two clowns in QT (Picasso and long fin). They were originally a pair (for a year), but the new environment caused them to separate or un-pair (assumption). Now I'm dealing with the same issue as you lol.

Here's a video of what I was dealing with before separating them.

How are the new light settings treating you?
I don't know how it works yet, but it doesn't feel bad.I'm worried it might be too strong, so I'll be careful to monitor the sunburn.

In addition to the four layout tanks in the loft, we
have one bottle aquarium and one goldfish tank. The goldfish tank is managed by my son, but it's full of moss, lol.

I usually just add potassium to the fertilizer in the aquatic tank. When the effect of soil runs out, I fill the floor with a solid nitrogen-based fertilizer.
Water changes once a week.I change quite a bit now with a lot of moss.I probably do about 100% water changes as I hose in the drainage and water supply directly from the tap at the time.
The filter is an ADA filter.I maintain it once or twice a year.

Very nice build!
Thx!

In my case, I took the larger one (female) out of the tank and left the smaller one (male) in the existing layout.I think it will work well if you let the weaker one make a territory and put the stronger one in there.
I hope they reconcile well.

Thanks for the encouragement, bro!
My phone's camera is broken right now, so I can't post! I'll get it fixed as soon as possible because I want to keep posting.I really want to buy a new iPhone. But I can't convince my wife to buy my current phone because it's been less than a year since I bought it lol.

Thanks bro! I'll try harder!

Your tank is amazing. I like you use corals squeleton to create your decor.

I saw you use some biological support in your sump. Could you please tell me wich one ?

Thank you for inspiration
When you say "biological support" do you mean refugium? Or do you mean the addition of bacteria? Rifugium uses Chaetomorpha crassa.
In the beginning I had the lights on 24 hours a day, but now I only have the lights on for 12 hours because the nutrients get too low.
I used to use Japanese soil bacteria for the addition of bacteria, but I feel that it attracts RTN, so I don't use it now.
I don't know if I'm answering the question because I'm not good at English.

Well done! Absolutely beautiful set up!
Thx!

There are a few corals here and there that have been made bleached by RTN. I break it off as soon as I find it and leave a healthy part, but it is still very difficult to SPS.

As for the water plants, I quell the threat of cyanobacteria with Oxydor, and it is a recovery period now. It is getting better, but I may reset it soon because I want to make a layout of white sand negative water plants.

Greetings Mr. Takaki. How are you doing? Hope all is well... ;-).

We want some pictures, please give us a update.

Here in cold Denmark I did empty my big wall reef tank now and did sell all my anglefish and all other to start over again. So right now im in the planning and building stage, and also doing some aquascaping, strongly inspired by your wonderful tanks. I especially love your skills in combining the colors of the corals.

Have a safe christmas.

Greetings from Denmark
