Thanks guys! I️ am really excited to get this going over the next few weeks! Solid plan in place to ensure optimal fish health. Right now I️ have a bunch of live rock and fish in a 100 gallon Rubbermaid tub and a ton of coral in several locations. I️ plan on setting up my tank with all of the live rock and a very healthy amount of coral right away. Running for 90 days with no fish to avoid ich as a possibility. While that is running I️ will keep the Rubbermaid up with a bunch of pvc elbows and treat all current and soon to be acquired inhabitants with a run or two of PraziPro and observe. Then tank transfer method before adding to the display.
Current Stock:
5 Bangii Cardinals
Purple Tang
Yellow Tang
Sailfin Tang
Tomini Tang
Neon Wrasse
2 Phantom Snowflake Clowns
1 Aussie Black Ocellaris Clown

Not sure of what I️ really want to add. Thinking of a school of Convict Tangs, more Cardinals. An Achilles and a bunch or wrasses.

Whoa Keep on Reefing Expo was amazing and I got some amazing pieces. Grabbed up goodness from PaulyWalnuts, Sick and Twisted Coral and BlastoMaster among other great vendors and friends.

Been a while since I posted here!! Almost a year into owning this tank and I am finally moving forward, a bit. So many changes in plans that have really started to come together!

I finished painting the stand (finalizing details on a bit of trim to hide leveling mat and shims) and placed it tonight. Moved the sump into place and I am calling it a night.
Tank goes on in the morning nearly a year to the day from the start of this thread.

I was wondering about your build. Its exciting isn't it !! My 180 gallon is getting closer. Why? Because my 65 gallon reef has SPS corals growing into each other and my frag racks have the corals growing into the plastic !!

Up on the stand....at least for now! Need to make sure that the internal overflow boxes can be installed while the tank is up or if I will need to move it down for the install.

Making some more progress. Along with some evolution to my lighting plan. I went with the Aquatic Life T5 Hybrid light rack at 61” I should have enough coverage for the 84” length of the tank. For the LED portion I snagged up 3 AI Hydra 52 HDs. dang it’s bright!!

One more layer to the background and then onto plumbing. I also removed the corner overflow boxes and got custom internal and external overflow boxes. I feel like these will open up some more space(as if I need it) and allow for a really nice scape.

Nice! Those corner overflows really are crap. Back boxes much better. Where will the return be?

I am going to run the returns up the back of the system and over the top in the corners (possibly going with a third near the middle of the tank). I am thinking that adding RFG nozzles will increase the chaotic flow I am hoping for. My flow will be 2 MP40's (one on each end of the tank) and 2 or 3 ReefBreeder's RP-M flow pumps on the back wall (in between the custom overflow boxes if 2 or under each box if 3.
