the toothbrush is literally my favorite tool. Hands down the most useful universal thing I use everyday/on every tank I work on has its own I leave there.

Here’s one of my prized coral the coveted orange fugia plate long story short I ended up with it in a trade with a client because his angel just picked at it nonstop rerentlessly for a year but was alive I don’t know how. I told him flames and potters are total nippers then he orders both I’m like whatever???. I ended up with it I figured it be toughed up since it had been up 3 reefbrite xho’s And harassed by Angels needless to say it hard to find one that doesn’t die a slow painful death at the end of the day lol. Interestingly one day I come home to find the mouth just melting I was upset the day before it was happy as a clam. Never found the cause, it nearly died. Then it’s bounced back almost regenerated somewhat of a mouth over the past 6 months. There’s still a small amount of exposed skeleton almost healed to the point that only I would notice very pleased it gets at least 250 par which is way way to much!

It’s the only one I’ve ever had personally, with 18 years invested. Definitely got lucky with this one!

This is it after I had baby Godzilla a few months 7/11/18

I’m This is before the overhaul started. Not that it matters anyways it’s pretty recent. I’ve been fairly satisfied with the big green Acro with yellow tips (Assuie frag I broke off when I worked part time at a LFS) impossible to get a good picture unless it’s top down. I’ve settled on Godzilla (it grows outwardly weird) it was literally one of the smallest frags I added and now I would say it’s 8” front to back 6” side to side. It’s managed to be the source of my black bug issue and seemingly almost unaffected by the bugs after long periods infested it loses PE (you can tell it’s not 100% in picture). Always grows good though lol. I did dip everything hard I killed a few RR pieces and a Maleficent, it seriously is always a kick in the pecans when you get some pest after trying so hard haha. I wasn’t religious about in the past and the battle AEFW’s and I had monti eating nudi’s at the same time it made me want to quit, but there’s are survivors for my last tank the Oregon tort, blue horrida, WD, PC Raindow, Route 66, WWC tri-color stag, blue tipped nasuta, TGC ultra Miyagi tort, flaming Phoenix, green digi I’ve had for 10+ years, tek sunburst(later died in this display). So lesson learned I threw half of my sps in the can just to make it easier. I’m just spreading the faith of dipping for anyone who’s on the fence! Just order from reputable people Adam at BC is a great person, WWC is awesome but $$$, RR, and I love my direct ORA. After the one frag/acro above (black bug host zero). It has literally been a defeating task I stopped buying from local shops without hesitation this will probably get me in trouble with MODS. Honestly it’s the truth.

Gorgeous! Thank you for taking the time to help out! Yep it’s an oceanic 90. The gyres are angled up kinda, for surface agitation, so I’ll clean and angle them down and bend the loc line returns to come out on the surface, change the program to longer pulses; Sounds like a plan! You concur that flow is my issue? I don’t know what else it could possibly be. I’ve also considered putting mp40’s under the gyres for tons of flow, but that’s quite an investment for 2. Gorgeous tanks once again and thank you for the tips!
Side note just because I went back through consider getting/looking into a jebao. I’ve used them for a decade when everything hated on them and so does a good friend in his 500 sps tank along with a lot of guys I know. Why pay more you could buy at least 8 jebao PP wave makers before one mp40! After the wet side shaft/magnet issue a while ago that nearly killed a few big name guy’s and other tanks I’ve been really been scared to sell or run them personally. Newer Jebao morning models are fully functional, bc you use to not be able to control the output unless you modified it. My one tiny jebao took the place of my gyre like 100% improvement. I’ve had it in the tank awhile wasn’t using in a useful way in the past. I’ll get a video for you of the current action!

Here’s the wave action my friend, kinda of off time the led bar just came on some stuff usually has my pe. You can see most everything is dancing but not blasted. It’s not all about your overall turn over I’ve learned more so how you do it!
Nicee, looks like good flow in there. I have jebao’s on my 40b, SOW’s, they were great for ahwile but now at the 4 month mark they have lost almost all power and are pushing hardly any water. I’m going to try to clean them today too but visually they look clean, I hope they perk up, we will see. I was amazed at first with the controller, features, and price. I’ve been kinda let down lately since it doesn’t work now though :(

My motley crew of lps corals or what’s left of them bad luck who knows‍♂️

Liveaquaria certified captive grown red Goni (thing is tougher than nails highly recommend its $120-150 110% worth it!)

War coral (Favia) another first time ownership experience. Love it total classic.

What’s left of the not so easy to find nowadays neon candy cane originally purchased covered in bryopsis. I cut and mounted it gingerly with care grew in a perfect ball formation and the dang lobo killed pretty much 90%, and that was my first tragedy with this tank. Plan on cutting it all up again, also features my indo green Goni stable now although managed to die slowly for 4 years lol, rainbow torch?? Which also partially died, and a peekaboo of the bicolor hammer.

Introducing Moma torch (I think it’s a rainbow ). Funny story is she has two children I had nothing to do with that randomly appeared, and I’m no torch/euphyllia expert it must have spawned kinda cool. Her mini me’s are a lot more hardy.

This child number 1 who just had to mount up right next ever slow growing JF jack o lantern. Told y’all LPS coral and I have a long term love hate relationship.

This number 2 I would say I find him to be well behaved he resides on mag float scraper with my big lime in the sky stag. The funniest thing is I was soo soo close nuking these kalk when first sprouted up I thought they were majanos . So glad I got lazy these are definitely worth $$ I enjoy them a lot. In no way did I have any say or choice where they landed. It’s cool when nature course is successful in captivity!

Yeah very true I appreciate the wisdom, I guess it looked alright in its prime I’m hard on myself especially I could do better all together consider 20 years spent in the business and hobby. I’m ready to do something different and unique. Pushing the limits and since it’s kinda of the showcase or model for my business I want to test my ability to show my current and future clients what’s on the table. I take pride in it that’s guiding me to achieve and accomplish this scary project. This time I think forward when comes to flow, growth, and overall coral vitality. Stay tuned and thanks for taking the time to check it out!

Who wants to meet my a%*hole group of fish?(the ones that are still around) I coined them the wolf pack because they’re ruthless savages what’s pictured are the only people still kickin it everyone else has carpet surfed/sold/disappeared. At this point all of them are 4-8 years old (been with me that long at least). Except for that darn filefish Murphy’s law should listened to myself a week ago. I don’t name fish it’s the smart thing to do, but the one eyed purple tang is “satin”.
