Here's a pic anyway in spite of being chopped up a little:

Awesome.

How many cats does it take to be considered @Kattkrazie?

Or are you just a krazie Kathryn?

The user name is from my days raising orphaned kittens, volunteering with a local animal rescue to place them in adoptive forever homes. Kattkrazie was the rescue's email for me. So, yeah, little bit crazy...

Bought one and it was white for the longest time, so I smashed it with a pair of pliers and it came back to life. There are 6 in this pic.

You smashed it... I’ve been doing it wrong all along. I didn’t know you could just go Joe Pesci on it and make it “come to an understanding.” LOL

If a frag doesnt grow, I got no problem busting its kneecaps with pliers! I do it in front of all the other corals so they know I aint playing!!

Ulgy through-the-glass-and-algae shot just to show some growth. This is the size (ish) where I find that most stuff starts to take off and grows faster. There are two decent branches in the back too and you can kinda see one... like normal HW frag size branches. It is still keeping all of the colors under 14k Phoenix Halides.

I’m waiting to get my homewrecker frag next week , so i can join in the fun! It seems to be a sensitive acro though, which makes it so much more satisfying when you can grow it out!

So here is 6 weeks growth for: (left to right)

Homewrecker... meh. More color though. Got that going for me.
DingDang milli... really starting to take off after doing nothing for months.
Walt Disney... this thing launched early and hard. Since then seems to be slowing a bit.

The ding dang looks great! ...................... it's more rare if you can get it to grow colony size
I agree wholeheartedly, and thank you. I tried to get the colors true, but it is actually more peachy color than the photo suggests. Arrived in November and did nothing until this month. Took a while to get its legs.

Beginning to understand now some things about Walt Disney. I've always thought it was a beautiful tenuis and a favorite of mine. I will be glad to pull a little more yellow from it as my colony has done. I was surprised how quickly it has fallen in price, but now that I see how FAST the thing grows, it only makes sense.

The pace on my HW is glacial still, but if I squint I can detect more coloration over the last month. Maybe an extra coralite or two but no branching. This thread is a good idea just to benchmark what growth expectations should be.

Tenuis grow faster than most corals. The issue with some is that you're starting out with a micro frag vs other corals you're actually getting a frag. Then once it's a two inch frag people are hacking them up.:D

Mine is still pretty boring... He has based out a bit, and and seams happy... hasn't really grown much yet. Time will tell, but for now he is my most boring acro (although I am loving the PE).
