    very nice!

    Also you dosing anything?

How often are you doing water changes?

What params do you aim for? alk, calc, p04

I know he has a huge calcium reactor on this system. I don't know if he's dosing anything other than occasionally magnesium as needed. Water changes I think weekly. I'm gonna guess he's aiming for 1400, 8.3, 425, and 0 po4

Thanks! Water changes are weekly at 15% for now. We may adjust that a hair as the system continues to mature. For parameters we are holding strong around the following numbers thanks to an XL calcium reactor compliments of Reef Octopus

    Sg: 1.026
    Temp: 78-79
    Alkalinity: 8.0
    Calcium: 440
    Magnesium: 1400
    Nitrate: 0-2ppm
    Phosphate: .023 (Triton)

Regarding additives.... I am a VERY strong believer in the "naturalist" approach. I've always had my best success with a simple approach. Keep a healthy and stable system, strong skimmer, refugium and REGULAR water changes. Those things combined with a heavy fish load has always worked well. I have always kept a heavy fish load and feed the fish very well with LRS Reef Frenzy and nori. The fish poop and well...the corals love it. However recently I have started the manual addition of @Coral Frenzy 2x weekly and have been very pleased with the results.

    You're close!

Left them beside the band saw lol

Thanks Ken! The corals are enjoying the product so far :)

That tank looks great! I have exactly one wall in my house that a big tank could fit on and those are my exact dimensions I had figured to fill the space. How do you like the 27x27 part? would you change either of them?

    Keep up the good work!

Thanks everyone! As far as tank dimensions go, this was as deep as we could go with the external over flow. With the overflow it measures 33". Our door frames have 35" clearance so we decided an inch of clearance on each side was tight enough.

I think in the long run I would like to have the same depth and height, but 10-12' long. Dreamers can dream right?!
