I'm just going to repost these for the week... dios mio, que disastre soy!Weekly goals (this should be sounding familiar):
1. Order T slots for light mount and tank bracing
2. Pick up acrylic sheet
3. Cut and glue refugium black-out
4. Silicone the extra refugium weir wall
5. Kill aiptasia
6. Start making more saltwater
7. Actually do these things
I would do 2 K7 Pros. I'm not a huge fan of AI after my AI Prime melted lenses, but I haven't heard the same complaints about the Hydras. 1 K7 pro (140W) is like a Hydra 32 (95W) but with the power of a Hydra 64 (135W). Two K7 Pros is 240W. You'll miss the moonlight LEDs on the AIs. You won't be struggling for PAR though. 2 K7 Pros over a 60 cube would give you wall to wall coverage (depending on how you space them) and high end SPS PAR and maxima/crocea clams in the middle. Useful for an upgrade, too.@JoJosReef - Decision time....2 Noop K7 pros or 1 Hydra 32 for my tank. What would you do?
Thanks for the feed back. Can I get the same blue out of the K7 as I can my AI? I really like that royal blue actinic blue as the ramp up and down of my light cycle.I would do 2 K7 Pros. Seen a few posts about Noopsyche being slow on orders lately, though, so you might also check in with @Zach B if you go that route.
Two K7s $200 shipped? Mounts included? I understand Noopsyche isn't great at support when you don't buy direct from them, but that's a good price for two high oerforming lights. You can program the spectrum however you like, plenty of blues, but I've only done the Minis which are mostly blue. Thanks for the feed back. Can I get the same blue out of the K7 as I can my AI? I have a chance to snag the k7s slightly used for $200 shipped.
Which K7s? There's K7 V3, Pro III, and Pro II.Thanks for the feed back. Can I get the same blue out of the K7 as I can my AI? I really like that royal blue actinic blue as the ramp up and down of my light cycle.

I looked into the Noops recently. Apparently Zach was in a bad car accident and there was no ETA on his return. From following some of the threads it seems shipments are being fulfilled directly from China now but still very delayed.Dry Goods - 2 Noopsyche K7, PRO ) V3 latest version- For sale .. $200 shipped anywhere in the US
Used a little less than 1 yr .. Very good lighting units..Amazing par ... pics show light #1 top and bottom side , light #2 top and bottom side...and drivers...www.reef2reef.com
Says Pro v3. @JoJosReef - It doesn't look like it includes mounting arms and the power supply's are different between lights....has me second guessing. I did reach out to Zach to see what it would cost me for two new from him with mounting arms. Really though if I pay the guy on here 100 per light, then have to order mounting arms later on for 35+ each. I'm only saving about 35 per light over new...so I might just order two brand new from Zach if he gets back to me in a timely manner. I tried to buy them direct from Noop months ago, but my CC company didn't like it and refused to let the transaction go through.
That's terrible! Hopefully he is alright! Did you end up going with Noops or did you use something else?I looked into the Noops recently. I ended up adding another AI Prime 16; found a good deal locally. That's terrible! Hopefully he is alright! Did you end up going with Noops or did you use something else?
Zach is back, assume he is pretty backed up rt now ,but glad to see him ok and back...That's terrible! Hopefully he is alright! Did you end up going with Noops or did you use something else?
I'd like for them to get mysis, but thawing frozen is not convenient in the office and the freeze dried mysis just floats right past them--they don't seem to like any of the freeze-dried food even if it's come out of a Plank (more hydrated).TDO was always my go to for new fish to eat them. Size of very important for wrasse to try pellets for me. To small they don’t care. To big they show little interest. Haven’t fed pellets much in past 3 or so years.
Is the freeze dried big? Try soaking in selcon or something first. Pain and probably not worth the hassle. I want to start feeding more pellets. Much less waste.I'd like for them to get mysis, but thawing frozen is not convenient in the office and the freeze dried mysis just floats right past them--they don't seem to like any of the freeze-dried food even if it's come out of a Plank (more hydrated).
Varying sizes. The calanus is small. Mysis a bit bigger. I've tried soaking in GarlicGuard (the Seachem stuff), but might get some Selcon to try. Also might get some algaemax pellets because I understand they will eat them and get some veggie nutrients that way.Is the freeze dried big? Try soaking in selcon or something first. New life spectrum probiotix was another wrasse loved.
