Quick Update - no pics on this one yet.
Lost the copperband about a month ago - not sure what happened as it seemed to be eating fine, but found it on its side going down rapidly. Funny thing is that my Yellow tang was getting really beaten up by something, big bite marks on its fins and all - since the copperband has gone, its all back to normal.
Strange how one fish can cause so much tension in a tank! (My son reckons it was one of my Blue Tangs that was beating it up, and the Yellow was beating up the Copperband on and off)

Added in another Acro - not sure what type, my Son bought it for me from the LFS, he also bought me a Duncan and a Small Green Torch which was nice!

Just placed an order for a stack of Favia, so will be nice to add some more colour into the tank with those - just need to figure out placement.

Lost my Red Dragon acro as my Urchan knocked it off the rock, and my Son decided to glue it back on while i wasnt home...needless to say, he covered it in superglue and it bleached overnight...

The urchan also snapped the top off my Blue Digita Montipora...so now i have 2!
Great to see your son is very much involved in the reef.
Not all is going perfect, but he deserves a golden buzzer for initiative.

Yes, i actually encourage them to do everything on it!

He has just set up his own freshwater planted tank, and is so enthusiastic about everything at the moment.

Been a year since the start of the thread!
How's it all going ? Anything new and exciting happening ?
New coral a few weeks ago - have a few acro's doing well now.
Adding in some more rock now also so i need to do an aquascape update at some point.

Have a small amount of GHA popping up around the place sporadically, so keeping an eye on that, but other than that it's been very stable.

Will update with some pics soon ;-)

Next big thing will be finally fitting doors and stuff over the base of the steel frame!

Glad to hear it's going well!
Looking forward to the updated pics.

It's crossed my mind recently also about adding more rock to the tank to create some more hiding places etc for the fish.

I went for a minimalist/negative space aquascape, which looks great, but you run out of space for coral pretty quite, and theres not as many hiding places for fish. So trying to add in some more swim throughs and cave's for them - plus the extra rock is good for a bit more bio diversity i figured!

Yeah that's what I've been thinking as well. The current fish all have their spots, but I'm thinking about adding a bunch more soon and I think hiding spots/sleeping spots will be a bit tight, will have to see.

Few quick update images, snapped with a new camera through the Red Sea glasses.
Added a few more coral today also -
Bronze Mottled Hammer
Green and Gold Tableing acro
Bubblegum Digi

Still have more rock that i'm slowly adding in, so the scape will change over the next few months a little, but its getting there slowly!
