Nice looking hawkish! Acanthurus tangs can be completely unruly. I get taking it out and keeping the peace.
Thanks. I love the personality of the hawkfish. Always lurking lol.

Traded in the tang this morning. Didn’t get much for him, but I was more concerned about him living and going to a new home than about the money.

Have an Eight Line Flasher Wrasse coming tomorrow which I’m pretty excited about.

I think overall, Wrasse are my favorite fish species. Very active with tons of personality.

There are a few more wrasse on my list to get if my fish guy is able to secure them.
-Diamond Tail Flasher Wrasse
-Lineatus Fairy Wrasse

I’d also love a Hawaiian flame wrasse, but with the van - they are beyond any realistic financial goal.

Well the Eightline Flasher Wrasse has been hiding pretty much since I put him in. I initially had him in an acclimation box, in which no one seemed to really care.

Once I released him into the tank, my pintail fairy and yellow wrasse chased him into hiding. He comes out to eat and look around every now and then. Hopefully as time goes on, he will become more brave and a hierarchy can be established.

What’s your favorite sps frag so far?
I’m on the hunt for solid old school and some stand out newer varieties too.
Your torch garden is looking great

I’ll chime in as I have two mp 40’s with the same tank footprint. Mine are at 25 percent or so and offer more than adequate flow for the tank with sps and lps corals. I could see adding a gyre later down the road due to coral growth impacting flow, but for a new tank 2xMP 40 on a 48x24 tank is plenty.

Thanks for the response!
