I've never had any luck with wild large maxima clams, I think it's the way they are transported from the collection station.
Hopefully these that you have do well, they are beauties.

Is one week enough time to adequately judge the health of a clam that was just imported?
Yes! As long as they are reactive to lighting/waving our hands over them then they are healthy!

Thank you for your wishes :) we have theses semi aquacultured (held in our facility overseas for a couple of months) before importing them here. It could depend on who is importing to whoever you are buying them from!
