Spent the day vacuuming sump and fuge. Changed out 20 gallons of water Added small amount of bottle bacteria for the why not reason. Figured it was a smart move with the new dry rock added.
Removed some bubble algae from frags for some extra fun.

Crab is in here daddy

Saw the anemone crab but before lights out and it was to dark for photo.

PO4 went from .13 to .22. The cause was starting the auto feeder again and wanted to remove the old food. While removing the container from the feeder the lid came off and dumped a handful of pellets in the tank. Ran to find filter socks and then used a net to remove some. Forgot to remove filter socks for a few days.

Fed fish, add amino’s then fed coral mix of Calanus and roe.
I notice when I don’t add Phyto the gorg isn’t happy. Normally polyps are out and if not little fish food will perk it up. With out Phyto no polyp and not a lot of polyp when feeding fish. Will continue to dose daily

Snapped a few photos before turning pumps on.

Goni was always hard to feed. Only reefroids and the current would have to take the food to the goni. Lately I can blast it with reefroids so I tried pods and roe

Been searching for a earmuff wrasse. Found only one and it’s about 1 hour drive. Saw the fish then went back 4 days later to get her. To my surprise she showed no interest eating. She looks healthy and normal.
Thinking to pick up a 20 gallon on sale at local petco to setup and see how she does and treat for what ever may come up.
Any recommendations on hang on the back filters?
What is the best way to quickly prep a new tank for fish? Only have a bag a carbon, water and rock to transfer but would rather not use the rock

And her picture

I got one of THESE for my 20 gal office tank, ran like a champ.
Would definitely recommend one.
Make sure to buy one of THESE too and fill the cartridge with carbon when you need to clear any meds.
I used THIS carbon, it's cheap and works well.

Wow that was easy! Thank you. The best part is the price of the filter.
This might be doable hope she is still there.

I have been working crazy hours and haven’t done much with the tank. That is a good thing it is plugging along. I fell way behind on others build threads and it is overwhelming thinking about catching up.

Tonight I found an acan that took a stroll across the sand bed and the Symphyllia is getting bothered by a BTA that shifted and stretched out. They will have to wait until tomorrow for rescue. I want to finish moving rocks around for more hiding places.
Got a message from the fish store he has two wrasse coming in Wednesday for me. Not sure what ones as I gave him a few to find the last couple months but think I know. One is a fragile shipper and hope he/she makes the trip if it is one that I think it is. You all will have to wait and see.
My pintail has been keeping Lineatus in hiding again and try’s to chase the radiant. Want to try and catch pintail tomorrow to let Lineatus come out and get some courage for a couple days before adding new guys. Hope I can catch him and find a new pintail at LFS when I pick up the others.

On a sad note the Midas blenny I think has passed. Possible she found a new home but has been stressed by other fish. Every fish I had pushed her around with her clumsy swimming. Something about a Midas’s blue eyes and movement that is awesome in a reef tank.

Sorry no pictures and for a long update
