Full transparency just read through the whole thread. Was really helpful for general knowledge. I had a 90g FOWLR about a decade ago and loved it but unfortunately couldn't take care of it when moving for school. Got a Red Sea Max Nano when Covid hit to get back into the hobby. Turned this tank into a very mixed reef to give that a try. It's had it's ups and downs but back addicted to the hobby. I had P04 issues too recently and Chemipure blue did wonders. Need to post a build thread, doing a big upgrade this weekend as I've been keeping the tank on the kitchen counter for 11 months now, adding a stand, apex controller, two Dos, and ATO so I can finally leave the tank alone for more than a couple days. Going to try to become more engaged on Reef2Reef. Pics below:

Wow that is a lot of reading. Thank you so much for the kind words. Hobby has it ups and downs but we keep trying to improve.
Thanks for the tip using Chemipure blue!
Your tank looks amazing thanks for sharing! You definitely need to start a build thread. Having some automation makes it easier with daily life and time to enjoy the tank.
If you start a build thread let me know

Very nice wrasse collection you have going! Were you able to locate most of them in a LFS? I don’t often see much variety available in SJ.
All from lfs I don’t order fish. Easier wrasse from Reefco and the fragile ones from TSM aquatics. Both places are worth it for fish and Reefco has a great coral selection too.

TSM is very close to me and most of my fish are from them... great place. I’ll have to pay Reefco a visit at some point. I lost a number of wrasses during a ten day power outage last summer and am just starting to think about restocking. Looking for one of those Madagascar’s but trying not to break the bank!

I’m sorry to hear about your wrasse. Happy to see you you are still with the hobby after that.

TSM is hour 20 minutes south of me. Salgado has/had Madagascar’s but his prices went up a lot this year. Last year he was selling them cheap. New place to me is Dr.reef if you want to mail order. I haven’t used them yet but worth checking out.

Lol we might be neighbors. I’m in Burlington County. I’ve seen those Madagascar’s go from about 300/400 and they now have them for 900. Another nearby shop is selling one for 700. Ill need to sit on the sideline while they are that high.

I meant to say 1 hour 20 minutes. I’m in Hunterdon county. Very nice wrasse but $700 hurts. Diamond tail flasher is a fraction of the price and Is a stunner. That said I payed allot. . They do get big for a flasher. Mine is probably close to 5”.
