I figured this was going to happen. Crazy adorable. Goni frowned this morning but seemed to bounce back

Pintail is at the fish store. He was one of three fish that are the problem. The other two are Borbonius and Tomini. The wrasse will stress out other wrasse then Borbonius thinks she is a tang and shake her tale. This is when the Tomini comes in as a follower and shakes his tail. For many months I been thinking removing them all and starting over with a better plan. Rehoming the other two I don’t want as an option. I’m done having to remove fish and stres

I’m done with fairy wrasse for now. I’ll wait and see if Lineatus bounces back from hurt feeling then down the road make a decision. Adding one when I feel like it doesn’t work for me. Down the road I will do them at same time and get them smaller

Now new fish additions
Earmuff wrasse. I’m beyond exited for this girl! No she isn’t a Fairy wrasse and should do good with my radiant. Not so good the one I picked out was the biggest but 1.5-2”. I put her in the tank and didn’t see where she went. My guess is the sand. For that reason you will have a wait on pictures.

Little smaller for my tank but such a cutie. With out fairy wrasse she should be fine.

Guess she doesn’t like hermit crabs. At the end she smacked one and flipped it

Sad update that I’m not proud to say
Midas Blenny looks to not make it though the night. She didn’t transport well.

For six months I struggled with fish getting along. I remove the biggest problem but there is always more fish that are a problem below them.
Added rock and rescape has been done and it is not the answer. Aggression is for the whole tank not one area

Earmuff almost got eatin by Radiant within 30 seconds after emerging from the sand.

Borbonius keeps the Mimic against a power head. Borbonius won’t get close to the power head.

So my plan is start with Borbonius and Radiant removal and then I am sure the tomini will be next and so on.

While I do this I need to decide what I want to do.
1: call it quits. Not sure I’m ready
2: Small cube and keep goby/pistol shrimp, 1BTA and clowns. One or two more prideful little fish
3: Restock after all problems are removed with small juveniles and hope they all can grow and mature together. Not sure how I would get all the fish at the same time so they can’t try and take control of the tank.

Not sure if I bit off more then I can chew.

Tomorrow I will start trapping and try and come up with a plan.

For the time being I divided the tank for the safety of fish. I do not know where the earmuff wrasse is but it can fit through the eggcrate to safety.
It’s not fully sealed but should work.

Don you have to keep your tank. I haven’t made it to NJ yet so till I do your going to have to suck it up and make it work! I believe you will find a way to get what you want in tank stock wise. It’s a tough task but your to smart and dedicated an aquarist to not weather the storm and find a way forward.

Ray I been putting this problem off since September. Daddy never wants to admit his little girl is naughty. I don’t feel it’s my ability but the year old established fish that won’t allow new fish.
I will have a tank but not sure it will be this one. Hey maybe bigger lol

Pintail is ok and removed. They are one of my favorite fairy wrasse. The colors remind me of a 1990’s race car lol

Question for everyone. More I read more I’m confused with 2 part and the chemistry

Last two weeks tank has been consuming .5 - .7 alk.
Ca and mag hasnt budged.
Why won’t Ca be consumed?
Last water change didn’t raise Alk
Why didn't the water change not raise Alk?

Normally Alk is 7.2 Now 6.5
Ca 460
Mag 1390

I was ok with alk at 7.2 but wondering if it being lower now is why Ca and mag are not being consumed

Should I dose only Alk from a two part?
I have ESV Bionic 2 part
