I bought a little queen angel so it is time to start planning her future tank. Narrowed down on Glasscages what will work for my house and budget. What are your thoughts on a 8 foot by 2 foot by 15 inch tank for a queen angel plus an emperor? It seems like a tank this long would spread out the aggression but most people recommend more than 230 gallons for this pair. If this seems like a bad idea i am leaning towards a 72x30x25 for just the queen and lion. Thoughts? I currently have a 8 inch lion and a very small queen angel in quarantine that has to get a little larger before going in with the lion. see pictures of current fish.

I wouldn’t go with a 15” tall tank for the Queen and the Emperor because there are many times they will actually want to swim not just ‘around’ each other, but also ‘above/below’ on another. Remember too that a 15” tank will have an inch or two taken up with sand on the bottom, and an inch or two of unusable space up top.

This is my 25” tall 150-gallon Glass Cages tank for comparison. Best wishes on your project! :)

but I am a bit jelly! I have been talking to joe from glass cages for a bout a year for a 300 gal FOWLR tank . the would be 96x30x25 if you can squeeze that extra 4" through the door I would say go the 300 for gallon with fish only will help. ( not that I have one :/ )

another thought....and here me out OK ! go for there 375 it's 120 LONG! x 30 x24 that is what I am hoping for of course it's a bit more than the 300 but man 10' of length on my ;Drool
DO let us know what you get I have always wanted an queen and emp pair.

oh PS: have you seen there new website? its SOOOOOO much better and fun to pla yaround building out your dream tank.

The fish tank 72x30x25 is enough for the queen and lion. For the future, the fish tank will be better if big than small tank because they will have room and there will be more room the other fishes that you buy.
