That is awesome. I didn't know they lived that long.
A. percula females are estimated to live 30 years in the wild. In theory, they could get even older:
An extraordinary life span estimate for the clown anemonefish Amphiprion percula

Some large angelfish (Pomacanthus sexstriatus) males live over 40 years in the wild, some reaching even 60 years:
Age-based demography and reproductive ontogeny of angelfishes belonging to the family Pomacanthidae

An update: Harold passed away at 41 years of age. Maude had passed at 36 years. Their web site is http://69.39.232.74/~heartwor/haroldandmaude.html
Sorry for your loss. They lived far longer than average. Did you notice any signs of aging or them slowing down? I had a pair of wild ocellaris that lived in my care for slightly over 20 years until a stuck heater killed them.

I've had mine since 2013. 8 years definitely isn't a record, but I'm pretty proud to have had them that long.

If the old saying, "the good die young," is true, then my female black ice clown will probably live to be 100. LOL :D

My pair of Ocellaris just turned 26 years old and there anemone celebrates the same 26 years. My male clown was the only fish that survived my fish only tank crash back in 1995. I switched to a reef tank, picked up the female and Atlantic anemone and the rest is history.

I worked at my local fish store (Neptunes if any of you are in the Denver area) in high school and we had a 21 year old clown fish in one of the display tanks. She is still going strong and should be around 26 or 27 years old at this point. :) She was definitely the meanest old fish I have ever met.

Not actually sure, mine are at least 12 years old. Captive bred snowflakes. They were less than an inch when I bought them 12 or 13 years ago. I hope they outlive me.

At this rate Paul B will have the second oldest pair of Clowns in the world,
The stupid things may outlive me.
I got to give them credit, they still constantly spawn, it's kind of annoying. ;Meh
