Just picked up a Neptune DOS, Whats the best "ingredient" to keep ALK stable?

I have been using Kalk in my ato mixed with the RO water ant its been working pretty darn good. I'd like to go back to the ATO just being RO water and I'd like to dose for alk separately with my Trident and DOS unit. So, my question is, should I mix kalk with fresh mixed saltwater, soda ash, Reef Fusion 2, or something else.???

I honestly liked using the Kalk, ph was always pretty good with it too.

Thoughts?

I like Nyos Alkalinity.

If kalk has worked well for you it seems like i would stick with that, but if you are switching to pure ATO then it going to be tough to dose enough kalk separately unless you have very low uptake.

Otherwise if you like the PH benefit of kalk i think one of Randys recipes actually has similar ph boost as kalk does.

Cool, yes, somewhat small uptake as only a 25 gallon tank. But now thinking about it... you might be right... tough to dose enough without overfilling the tank, possibly
